Dear Grace Church Parishioners,
Our next supper will be held at the Barrington Brewery on Sunday evening, June 9, at 6:00 pm. The restaurant policy is that if a group wants to order off the menu, the Brewery will only render one bill for the entire group. They will not do separate checks. However, they do offer a prix fixe menu for groups that includes salad, bread, entrée, small dessert, soft drinks and coffee.
Here is a list of the entrees for the prix fixe menu as shown on the Barrington Brewery website:
Shepherd’s Pie
BBQ Beef Brisket
Ravioli of the day
Chicken Quesadilla
Chicken Pot Pie
Fish & Chips
Pasta of the day
Eggplant with peppers & cheese
The price is $27.50 and it includes tax and tip. Alcoholic drinks (wine or beer) are extra and would be settled up with the waitress, as the drinks are ordered/served. There is no need to preorder your entrée! At the June 9 supper, after we are all seated, each of us will be given a copy of the prix fixe menu. You must order your entrée from that menu—no exceptions!
To pay: On the night of the event, you bring a check for $27.50, made out to “George Raymond”, and give it to me. I will then settle the entire bill with a credit card.
Please do not give me your check before June 9. Also, I prefer checks to cash. With checks I can see who has paid (or not paid), something I cannot do with cash. If you sign up for the dinner on June 9, I will remind you of this payment procedure just before the event.
To sign up for the dinner, please send me an email (see address below) to let me know you are coming and the names of others in your party. Or, call me. For the time being, we would like to restrict attendance to Grace Church parishioners. The maximum number that can be accommodated is 35. First come, first serve.
