A missionary nurse from Ivory Coast will speak at Grace Church, Great Barrington, on Sunday, Aug. 4. The service will be held at Crissey Farm, 426 Stockbridge Rd.
At the 10 a.m. service on August 4, Christy Cunliffe, RN will share the story of her work in the cities and villages of Ivory Coast. Christy has a long-standing relationship with the congregation through her participation in numerous Christmas pageants while visiting her grandparents the Edward Cobdens.
Serving as a missionary with World Venture, Christy is working in hospitals and clinics in the central and northern regions of Côte d’Ivoire. In these regions, especially, the country is troubled by the AIDs epidemic, high infant mortality, unemployment, poverty and political instability. In addition to Christy’s medical service, she teaches English to physicians and serves in various capacities in local churches.
Christy will be available after the service to renew friendships and greet all others.
