“We are people passionate about gun safety and the value of gun buybacks to remove unwanted guns from homes and neighborhoods. We transform destroyed guns into gardening tools, jewelry, and works of art.”
Bishop Jim Curry, co-founder of Swords to Plowshares, will be demonstrating how guns can become garden tools. Swords to Plowshares was established in 2017 and derives its name from the Bible passage: “They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation; neither shall they learn war anymore.” (Isaiah 2:4)
Attendees will be offered a chance to participate guided by Curry. For more information visit the organization’s website s2pnortheast.org
