Absent:  Kathy Clausen

Rick Gore called the meeting to order at 5:50 pm.

Geoff Perkins led us in Dwelling in the Word.

Minutes from the May meeting were approved and accepted.

Susan Gray read correspondence from Construct, thanking us for helping with their Mayfest fundraiser. There was also a note from Kayla Dillon, thanking us for making her Confirmation such a special evening.

Treasurer’s Report   Geoff mentioned that the amount for gas was very high, so he will ask for a meter check.

He will have pledge updates to hand out on July 6. There will be a letter from the Stewardship Committee included.

We agreed to renew our license to copy music.

Geoff shared the results of the audit done by Bruce Rockwell. He made several recommendations including: forming a Finance Committee, writing a Financial Procedures and Policy Manual, develop a Safe Church Policy, and a Disaster Recovery Plan.

* The Vestry has received and accepted the audit from Bruce Rockwell and will address his recommendations.

Properties  Rick will organize another storage unit clean-out for July 13.  Doreen Hutchinson knows someone at the diocese who will take extra hymnals and prayer books.

Old Business  Sue Gore reported that the Foyer Dinners, with Christ Trinity  and St. Paul’s, will be held in September, October, and November. Two people from each parish will organize the dinners.

Vestries/Council of all three churches will meet on Friday September 26 for dinner and a movie. There will be a joint Vestry Retreat on February 14, 2015.

Community Dinners at the Guthrie Center will be July 20, August 17, September 13, and October 17. Kathy has a flyer.

Phone calls to vestry prayer partners indicated that Gideon’s Garden, Food Pantries, Berkshire Grown, Episcopal Relief and Development were the causes mentioned most often. We need to encourage people to go to the community and foyer dinners. Also, find out about specific prayer needs.

New Business   The Search Committee has put forth Rev. Dr. Janet Zimmerman as our Priest-in-Charge. The Vestry voted to accept this recommendation. The call has been made, and she has accepted. Her first Sunday will be September 7, 2014.

On Sunday October 26 we will have a Celebration of New Ministry. St. Paul’s and Christ Trinity churches will worship with us. There will be a luncheon following.

A calendar is needed for all meetings and special events. This will be on the church website.  Also, a hard copy for the Sunday bulletin board.

Geoff read a closing prayer.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:40pm.

Respectfully submitted,

Susan Gray, Clerk of the Vestry
