COME SING WITH US!
Are You A Choral Singer?
Contact Lee Cheek or anyone in the choir.

Why Join the Choir?
It’s good for your health
Studies have shown how choir can improve your health – it’s fantastic brain food. Brain game exercises are all over the place with the Nintedo 3DS or sudoku. Well why not start keeping your mind healthy by making music?
Here are a few things you’ll see improve with choir
  • Multi-tasking  – you’ve got to watch the conductor, keep an eye on the music and know when to come in
  • Memory – you’ve got to sing by heart sometimes
  • Focus – concentrating for an hour on a performance
  • Math – Yes, you’ve got to count!

Sunday Liturgy on your iPad or tablet!
Swap your worship bulletin for the liturgy on your iPads or tablets?
Using a tablet allows you to adjust the size and contrast of the print.  It also can help us be more responsible by saving paper.

If you would like to receive the emailed worship bulletin that goes out on Friday by noon, please email Janet or Maria at graceberkshiresma@gmail.com.

The Welcome Project Mat by Thistle Farms
Thistle Farms in Nashville, TN. has come together with women refugees in Ritsonia, Greece to provide an economic platform for women and their families to escape the refugee camps. Lee and John Cheek have brought us a mat woven from materials the women took on their journey to Greece.
The mat on our altar is a symbol that love is the greatest force for change in the world.

Gospel for the Fourth Sunday of Easter

John 10:22-30

At that time the festival of the Dedication took place in Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the portico of Solomon. So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, ‘How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.’ Jesus answered, ‘I have told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name testify to me; but you do not believe, because you do not belong to my sheep. My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand. What my Father has given me is greater than all else, and no one can snatch it out of the Father’s hand.* The Father and I are one.’

-The King Of Love My Shepherd Is
The King of love my Shepherd is,
Whose goodness faileth never;
I nothing lack if I am his
And he is mine for ever.
Where streams of living water flow
My ransomed soul he leadeth,
And where the verdant pastures grow
With food celestial feedeth.
Perverse and foolish oft I strayed,
But yet in love he sought me,
And on his shoulder gently laid,
And home, rejoicing, brought me.
In death’s dark vale I fear no ill
With thee, dear Lord, beside me;
Thy rod and staff my comfort still,
Thy cross before to guide me.
Thou spread’st a table in my sight;
Thy unction, grace bestoweth:
And O what transport of delight

From thy pure chalice floweth!
And so through all the length of days
Thy goodness faileth never;
Good Shepherd, may I sing thy praise
Within thy house for ever.

Congratulations to the Rev. Jen Bloesch
Gideon’s Garden Program Director, Jen Bloesch, was ordained a minister in the United Church of Christ on Saturday, May 4 at the Eliot Church of Newton UCC.

Although we usually have an “Item of the Week”,
any appropriate food items are always welcome!
Thank you, Sue & Rick Gore, and George Raymond for the Lee Pantry and the People’s Pantry.

“CHANGE THE BABIES”
 Please put your loose change in the jar that will be at the Welcome Table.
This money that is insignificant in our day-to- day life is life-giving for these babies and those who care for them.
It costs about $1500 a year to support a baby and the Diocese’s goal is for one congregation to support one child for those years.
  Everything you give will go to support babies at the Mampong Babies Home in Ghana.

WMA Revival continues!
It’s local.
It’s collaborative.
It’s all about the #wayoflove.
It’s rekindling HOPE, sharing LIGHT and loving JESUS!
 The Steering Team is eager to hear what you have been doing to walk the way of love and how you have taken up the desire to be revived.
